It’s been just over a month since we were a part of the Bolton Abbey Weddings launch at a ‘Wedding in the Dales’ at Brook Farm Wedding Field in Kelbrook.
We’ve been members of the Bolton Abbey Weddings network since it began earlier this year, and as an official launch we got together as a group to pull off our very own wedding fair with a difference. Instead of just the usual stands you wander round at a fair, we wanted to make things much more interactive for couples attending. They could see real brides and grooms with sample ceremonies taking place, a marquee dressed for a wedding with tables set for the wedding breakfast, flowers, cake, a dancefloor and music. The idea was to give a much more vivid idea of what a wedding would look like if any of the Bolton Abbey Weddings suppliers were involved with your day.
I spent the day on our stand (with Archie on hand to help!) whilst Colin spent most of the day taking photos. We’re really very proud of what we achieved as a group. Organising a wedding fair is no mean feat but I think it went swimmingly well for our first event and we look forward to many more in the future.
Here are a few more images from the day, and a full list of all the suppliers featured is at the end if you want to check anyone out any further.
This dress is an original (original!) 1920s gown. So beautiful and so different (from Lovebird Brides in Addingham).
