We’ve passed by this beautiful building in Saltaire so many times and I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding there. So it was really exciting to finally get the opportunity at Rose and James’ Victoria Hall Saltaire wedding in August last year.
Our happy couple had already planned for a small, intimate wedding before Covid-19 came along, so it wasn’t going to stop their wedding from going ahead, even if their plans did have to be adjusted slightly! We joined them at the venue to cover their ceremony, a few shots with their guests outside, and a couple’s session around the building. Rose and James were particularly keen to take advantage of all the different photo opportunities inside the building, of which there are many! There are such a wide variety of rooms and backdrops to choose from. It’s a dream for us when a couple are keen to spend some time with us for their couple’s shoot, and with no reception to rush off to Rose and James had a lovely opportunity to spend a bit of quiet time together as a newly married couple (albeit with us nearby!)
I fell in love with Rose’s simple, elegant wedding gown by Kate Beaumont. It was perfect for her and fitted in perfectly with the vintage surroundings, yet had a modern feel.
Victoria Hall Saltaire Weddings
Victoria Hall is a Grade II listed building, first opened in 1871 in Saltaire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s certainly that little bit different if you’re looking for something unique for your wedding day.
There are a variety of event rooms and the venue can accommodate small intimate weddings, as well as full on big ones! The rooms are great for photography, with lots of light from all those windows, and there’s plenty of outdoor space in front of the hall for your guests to mingle, as well as those all important family photos.
Saltaire is really accessible for your guests and although there’s no parking at the venue itself, there are plenty of public car parks within a very short walk. There’s also plenty of accommodation nearby for anyone wanting to stay over. If you’re not local, it’s a beautiful village to visit so it would be ideal for a mini break!
The venue is fully licensed for weddings so you can have your ceremony and reception all in one place–bonus!
What did Rose and James say about us?
“Thank you again for making everything so easy. We loved looking through all the pictures. They are fab! Thank you.”
