Phil and Amy’s pre-wedding shoot took place in a new location for us–Sharp Haw in Skipton. Despite the fact it’s only a few minutes’ drive from us, we’ve never been (shame on us!) so it was great that Phil and Amy suggested it. It turned out to be one of my favourite pre-wedding shoots of the year so far! 🙂
Sharp Haw is basically a big hill, surrounded by farmland and countryside, and we had the perfect day for a wander. Although we didn’t walk to the top of the hill the views were still amazing. Most importantly, we found some great spots for photos, and even an abandoned sheep dipper which provided the opportunity for something a little bit different to the rest of the landscape (and me shooting from underneath it to get some funky angles!)
Phil and Amy were a fantastic couple to work with, so we’re looking forward to their wedding day tomorrow! It’ll be another first for us, to photograph a wedding at The Tempest Arms in Elslack, just outside Skipton. We’ve been there before whilst ‘off duty’ to enjoy the food and drink (it’s one of the nicest pubs in the area) so it’ll be different, but hopefully just as nice, to be working there this time instead!
Look out for more on the blog soon…
