We met up with the lovely Laura and Lewis in Saltaire last month for our first pre-wedding shoot of the year. They chose Saltaire as it’s a favourite spot for them, and they used to live there. It’s always nice to have a connection to the place you choose for your pre-wedding shoot. It should at least be somewhere you’ll feel comfortable, but it could also be a special place to you, or perhaps where you got engaged! If you’re struggling to think of somewhere or want to run any ideas by us, we’re happy to help and advise so please don’t be afraid to ask.
Saltaire village is a World Heritage Site in West Yorkshire, built in 1851 by Sir Titus Salt, a leading industrialist in the Yorkshire wool industry. It’s a great backdrop for a photography shoot, with old buildings and architecture such as Salts Mill and an amazing church, the river and canal, and Roberts Park. So there are plenty of opportunities for photos.
We had a drink and a catch up on all of Laura and Lewis’ wedding plans, before heading off for a wander for their shoot. We’re really looking forward to their wedding next month at one of our favourite venues, Falcon Manor in Settle. Excited!
Here are just a few of our favourites shots from the day…
