I don’t mind saying I’m a bit behind with blogging weddings at the moment. There’s so much to say and there are so many photos to share. Unfortunately, we’re out of the office with so many shoots, meetings and weddings at the moment, that another pre-wedding shoot is all I can manage this week! It’s a corker of a shoot though–probably one of my favourites this year so far. We don’t often get to experience light like this in Yorkshire and Lancashire so we were thrilled that Fran & Andy’s Pendle Hill engagement shoot gave us such amazing summer evening light.
They probably thought we were a bit crazy with all the ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ sounds we were making, but for us, that magic light in the hour or so before sunset, makes for the most beautiful, flattering light to work with. Which, of course, equals pretty photos for you!
Usually when this kind of light happens at a wedding, it doesn’t last as long. It’s one of the reasons we tell couples that if we do come running in the evening, desperate to drag you outside for another few photos, please come with us straightaway! The light can be gone in 5 or 10 minutes, so if you want some memorable photographs, it’s worth it, I promise.
Fran and Andy were great to work with and we’re looking forward to photographing their wedding this weekend at The Alma Inn, Laneshawbridge, nestled in the Pendle countryside.
