Over the years, we’ve photographed a few couples who got engaged on Ilkley Moor and you can understand why as it’s such a romantic spot with amazing views. Thomas and Miriam got engaged there too, so it was only natural for them to want to return for their pre-wedding shoot in August.
So, after a drink and a catch up on all their wedding plans in the pub, we headed across to the Cow and Calf to take some photographs.
I love the colours on the moor at that time of year. Towards the end of the summer, the autumnal colours start to appear and the heather is in full bloom. It makes for a perfect backdrop.
Thomas and Miriam married at Harrogate Register Office in September, and celebrated with a wedding reception at the Cruck Barn at The Craven Arms in Appletreewick, in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. I’ll be sharing their wedding on the blog soon, so keep an eye out for it…
