Falcon Manor is one of our favourite local venues. It was the location for one of our final weddings of 2018 and will be the venue for our first wedding of 2019 (next week–eek!) It’s a beautiful venue all year round, but it’s so warm and cosy in autumn and winter (complete with log fires) that it feels very welcoming in the colder months.

Isla and Dan chose to have an autumn wedding in early October. Despite what you may think, October has historically been a fantastic month for us weather wise. Although the evenings draw in earlier, the autumn sun is softer and creates beautiful light for photos, and you can still have a relatively warm day as well.
Isla and Dan certainly lucked out on their wedding day. The weather was gorgeous, and lead to some fantastic opportunities for us during their bride and groom portrait session. Combined with the orange tones of the leaves on the trees, and the golden sunlight, it was really something. Scroll down to see some of their photos.
More about Falcon Manor
This boutique hotel is located in Settle, a beautiful market town on the edge of the Dales. Built in 1841, it was originally a grand house, and was fully restored a few years ago to be a sophisticated hotel, perfect for a romantic getaway, or of course, a wedding!
We absolutely love the function room at Falcon Manor. It overlooks the terrace and gardens and is truly one of the best rooms we photograph weddings in (and we’ve seen a lot!) Not only does it look stunning no matter what decor you put in it, but it’s filled with light from the huge windows. It means that your photos will benefit from all the natural light flooding in. Of course, we can shoot in any conditions (and we have–from rooms with dark wood panelling, to tipis with an orange cast, to rooms lit only by fairy lights) but natural light is flattering light, which we love!
The bridal suite is also a wonderful room for your getting ready photos. It’s huge, with plenty of room for you and your bridesmaids or groomsmen to spread out, and again there’s plenty of light for those all important hair and make-up photos.
The wedding team are efficient, the food is lovely, and the surroundings feel luxurious without being stuffy.
