Back in August, Colin headed overseas to photograph Andy and Louise’s Coral Beach Club wedding in Bermuda.
Louise used to work on a cruise ship that docked in Bermuda on a regular basis, and it was then that she fell completely in love with the island. It’s not hard–if you imagine a clear turquoise ocean, pink sand beaches, palm trees and pastel coloured cottages and you’ll have a good idea of what it looks like!
So when Andy proposed, she said yes, but with one condition. Instead of marrying here in Yorkshire, where they live, she wanted her dream of marrying on the beach in Bermuda to come true. Andy could hardly refuse, so they set about organising it!
Whilst looking for a photographer, they discovered us just down the road here in Yorkshire too. The twist here is that if you’ve met Colin you’ll know that he doesn’t have a Yorkshire accent, because he’s actually Bermudian (we met when I was living and working there back in 2005!) So not only does he know Bermuda like the back of his hand, but he’s able to work there legally, without a work permit, and photograph weddings on the island. If you’re interested in finding out more about what we can offer for your Bermuda wedding, do drop us a line and we’ll be happy to help (or meet up for a chat if you’re close by!)
Andy and Louise spent a few days in Bermuda, celebrating with family and friends, and on the day of their wedding, it was a packed itinerary with a boat party over lunch, before heading back to Coral Beach Club to get ready for their evening ceremony on the beach. They partied well into the night and Colin was there to capture it all!
More about Coral Beach Club weddings in Bermuda
Although the Coral Beach Club is a private, members-only club, you can still book your wedding here as a non-member. You can marry on the beach, as Andy and Louise did, or on their Wedding Lawn in the extensive grounds. The outdoor Longtail Terrace overlooks the ocean and is perfect for your wedding breakfast and reception party (with the option to move things inside should the weather not play ball!) There’s also an in-house catering team so all your food and drink is taken care of.
The club can cater for small, intimate weddings, as well as weddings with up to 300 guests (that’s huge!)
Andy and Louise were able to take advantage of the on-site holiday cottages for the duration of their stay on the island. There are also plenty of activities, including tennis courts, and a spa to pamper yourselves.
