It’s that time again, when we look back at the last year of wonderful weddings and engagement shoots. In 2018, as always, we were privileged to witness some gorgeous weddings and meet some lovely people. Thank you so much to every single couple we worked with throughout the year! A great year of weddings!
The year started for us in March, with Natalie and Steve’s black tie wedding at The Devonshire Fell in Burnsall, and came to a close for us in late October with Sarah and Andy’s gorgeous day at The Normans near York.
Colin and I had lots of laughs together, and I cried a few times too (I am such a sucker for anything vaguely emotional at weddings!) We experienced one of the hottest summers I can recall (which is saying something in Yorkshire!) so we had some truly glorious days for weddings, as well as one or two rainy ones!
We’ve photographed everything from woodland weddings and farm weddings, to weddings at beautiful hotels; weddings in barns, tipis, yurts and marquees, and even a castle!
At every wedding, we aim to capture the whole story of the day–the laughter and the tears–moments, both big and small. We don’t step in and choreograph things–for the most part, we capture what’s happening in front of us–from the nerves and excitement of the morning preparations, through to the dancefloor action after your first dance. We want every couple to be transported back to their day when they look at their photos, as well as seeing a few things they probably missed!
Heading into 2019
As 2019 begins, we’re entering our seventh year as full time wedding photographers. We still have a few spaces available in our 2019 calendar, so if you’re looking for a wedding photographer (or in our case, a team of two photographers!) we’d love to hear from you.
We cap the number of weddings we do each year, so that we can provide a high level of service to each of our couples. January to March is a busy time for us, filling those final 2019 spots, as well as taking bookings into 2020.
Some kind words from a few of our 2018 couples
“Thank you SO MUCH! All the photos are absolutely AMAZING. We are thrilled to bits with them, they are just perfect. It’s incredible how much of the day you’ve captured and I know we will treasure these photos for a very, very long time. You are both absolutely wonderful at what you do, thank you so much for capturing so many special moments.”
Louise & Jason, Ridgmont House, Bolton
“Would highly recommend Colin and Heather! Absolute professionals in every single aspect. We love our wedding photos and couldn’t imagine them any better. Thank you.”
Sofia & Matt, The Devonshire Fell, Burnsall
“Thank you both so, so much for the stunning photographs you captured of our wedding day. We’re absolutely delighted with them all. Thank you for being so easy to work with and for putting us at ease.”
